Super kids starts school on Monday and so do I. Going back to school for me is nutso, so much printing and confusion. I love nursing school but I swear I am aging at just the thought of my last 8 months, two semesters, 255 days. But whose counting.
Super dad and I have decided to pack Super kid's lunch...everyday! We are about ready to start the
Feingold diet and I really have been trying to learn and watch what he eats. I do see a correlation to behavior and food. and it isn't just sugar. Weird healthy foods like strawberries and blueberries trigger his fit. For months I made him strawberry and blue berry smoothies. Who would have thought that I was hindering not helping!
I created this lunch menu so he can "order" his lunches and I can be organized. Nursing school is going to take everything out of me and I need to be prepared!! Let me know if you want to see what is on our menu.

Like many kids; super kid loves the golden arches. Due to his many super ways we try to avoid that place like the plague. We rarely go there. Once every other month... if even that. One day he whined said "I want" ... so, we started playing Mickey D's at home. We have a huge counter at bar height that serves perfect for a drive up window. He pretends to drive up and orders his food. Great for allowing him to make choices. If he orders something not ok I simply say "I am sorry, sir, we do not sell that at Mickey D's". I make him pay for his food (today the food was four dollars so I got four color pencils as payment). Sometimes he uses his play money. Yeah, for healthy eating and lots of learning. Play is the best! This will be awesome when we are 100% on the Feingold diet... coming soon.
Wrapped in parchment and decorated with sharpies.
happy eating and playing and learning ;)
super mom.

Party Surplus
Super Kid had a Lego birthday party. Months ago.
Decoration to hang by string, fishing line or ribbon.
Banner
Some silverware packets, more of the decorations, score cards for the games.
Thank you cards. Some are blank. 6 total.
This is how I set up Super Kid's party.
This is the invitation I put together... I don't have a great picture of Super Kids to share already mounted and scrapbooked. But this is what it looked like.

The Pinata was made out of a diaper box. It took the kids almost 3 tries each to bust it! Don't mind my nursing gear and books in the background.

Lego Toss! It was such a big hit with the kids and adults!
![]() |
They spent a ton of time building here after the planned activities were over.

These were sitting around so the adults could play, too. I purchased a few more flat boards...you can never have too many!

I purchased the supplies at Target. I liked the dots.

You would never guess how many Legos fit in that jar!
super mom.
